Ouch...Sore Muscle Pain Remedies!

                                                            Remedy for Sore Muscles!

If you have sore muscles or restless legs, I would recommend using peppermint essential oil along with the extra benefit of Hyaluronic Acid Cream!

Hyaluronic Acid Cream makes the skin so soft and it great to locking in moisture.
I just add a drop or two of the oil (NUMA, Dr. Axe Peppermint)
to a scoop (with your hand) of the (Puritan's Pride) Hyaluronic Acid Cream!
Rub the affected area and it creates a tingling, cool, muscle relieving awesome feeling.

After starting a new work out, incorperating  a lot of the leg muscles this has helped to work through the pain! I even will soak in epsom salt with peppermint!  so refreshing..

The relief lasts for a  good while! :)

Not to mention the  feeling of calm and relaxation when you just breathe in this refreshing scent!

                                                                         ENJOY!!!!!

D.D.'s Nail Salon

BEING A GIRL IS SO FREAKIN' EXPENSIVE!

So to save a bit of money here and there.. You can do your own Mani-Pedi's! Grab a glass of your favorite wine, crank up your favorite jams and have a bit of "You" time!!

All you need is, a large bowl to soak your hands and feet in, hand towel, nail brush, nail file, cuticle scissors, stainless steel cuticle pusher (I prefer over the wood or plastic ones) microplane foot file and then a swing arm desk lamp so you can really see what you are doing! ;)

Oh, yeah don't forget the paper towel, one sheet twisted up and intertwined between the toes.
it's so much more comfortable then the toe separators.

Now you have your supplies, let's talk products!!

Then I would recommend using laurenb brand nail polish remover pads, they smell like sweet berry blossoms (non-acetone and are very moisturizing) polishing hand scrub, nourishing hand cream and the cuticle oil. All of the manicure/pedicure products are botanical based and feel luxurious!!!

Pick your favorite nail polish color and have fun!

Once you get all your supplies and products you have your own salon at home! (you know the tools are clean and safe)

I like to choose more neutral colors, you can't notice chips as easily! <3

BYE, BYE UGLY CELLULITE!!!

                          BYE-BYE UGLY CELLULITE!!!

I wanted to give you all  an update on the whole DRY BRUSHING experiment!!

I posted the write up on 5/24, and started the process maybe 3-4 days later, so I believe I'm about  three weeks in...I have been vigilant about brushing everyday!! It only takes a few minutes before you hop in the shower or bath each day.

Things I have noticed about my skin is that it's baby soft and glowing! I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it but I took before and after pictures and I do see a bit of a change in the cellulite department!! :D

(top picture is from 5/24, of the left & right leg)
(bottom picture is from today, 6/11 back & front of legs)

Let me tell you it's hard to take a picture of your own back side LMAO!!

I am now going to kick my mission into high gear! Summer is here and I want to hang out my the pool, wear shorts and cute sundresses with confidence. Of course working out, eating right and plenty of water intake is very important, but I am going to try adding a coffee body scrub into the mix!!

Warning! This process is messy...

Coffee Scrub:
1/2 cup of coffee grounds
3 tablespoons of sea salt
3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil

Mix the ingredients well(paste like)
Massage into the legs using firm pressure, 3x's a week

After apply grapefruit essential oils (eliminates toxins, has a toning effect and helps with losing weight) with a carrier oil such as coconut oil, olive oil or sunflower oil, this way you don't irritate the skin by just rubbing the grapefruit essential oils right on.

Pesky Mosquito's!

                                                               PESKY MOSQUITO"S

One thing I dislike about summer and the warmer weather is you can't enjoy it with out being eaten alive by pesky mosquito's !! No Fun in the evening, hiking, grilling, camping or swimming..

I don't want to have to spay those awful chemical bug repellents on my skin (who knows what is being absorbed into your body) and the citronella candles help but it's not mosquito proof!  You still get the blood sucked out of you...which leaves itchy, swollen and irritated skin, not to mention that they can carry disease.

I have found an all natural bug repellant made with Essential Oils from Dr.Axe, that is good for your skin and the environment and those pesky mosquito's will stay away!

                                                HOMEMADE BUG SPRAY :

1/2 Cup Witch Hazel
1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
40 drops of (Eucalyptus, Citronella, Tea Tree or Rosemary)

Mixed well in a 8 oz. spray bottle.

*Avoid the eye and mouth area when applying :)

Takes a few minutes to make and lasts for a good 30 sprays!

So go out and enjoy the great outdoors!
Maybe some wine @ Arrington Vineyards..
